Pressure forming is ideal for applications requiring production of more complex shapes with intricate surface detail and closer tolerances, but produced at a lower volume than injection molding. Texture changes across the surface are possible with pressure forming and designs or logos can be pressure formed into high-visibility components where appearance is paramount.
Pressure Forming is:
A cost-effective alternative to injection molding
Able to achieve intricate detail, logos, surface textures and accurate location of apertures
Able to provide greater dimensional control than vacuum forming
A lower cost tooling alternative to injection molding
Able to emboss or put textures on surface
Provides lead times that are better than injection molding for short production runs
