Splash Fill Media

Brentwood TurboSplash PACs are splash media assemblies with hinged panels that can be installed in horizontal and vertical arrays for high thermal performance in counterflow and crossflow cooling tower applications. Each unit can be accordion-folded into a compact bundle for efficient, cost-effective storage and shipping and then unfolded in the tower for easy installation.

• High Temperature Rated for continuous operation at 180°F (82.2°C) and a 24 hour maximum of 195°F (90.6°C). |

Thermal Performance
Brentwood TurboSplash PAC media achieves the highest thermal performance of counterflow splash media installations.

Installation

A) Use two Bottom Supports (a minimum of 1.5"[37mm] wide) per TurboSplash. Panel row. Place bottom supports perdendicular to the hinged bar on the TurboSplash panel.
B) Use two Intermediate Supports (3/4" [19mm] Schedule 40 pipe) of convenient length between panel layers. Intermediate supports should have sufficient overhang and form a continuous rail. TurboSplash panels have integral Pipe Support Saddles for positive alignment with the pipe.
C) Independent Mid Supports are required when stacking panels over 6 layers high (approx. 6 ft. [1.8m]) or at lower heights when a higher-than normal fouling load is expected.
SAFETY REMINDER: Make sure that all assemblies are fixed and can take bearing loads. TurboSplash Pac assemblies will support normal workman loads, but installers should not walk directly on the hinged bars or on individual pairs of panels. For access to the installation, use plywood layered over 2"x4" (51mm x 102mm) stringers between the hinges.
